We are thrilled to announce that today we are launching a new feature of Nod: the Insights section! We heard from users that you wanted better ways to see your child’s sleep and feeding information, and now it’s here. To use this feature, head into Nod, tap “View insights” and then tap on any of the three boxes at the top to view your baby’s sleep and feeding patterns over either 7, 14, or 30 days.
Here are a few things you’ll be able to view:
Your baby’s night time, daytime and total sleep over time
Comparisons to see which days and nights they slept most (and least) on
Charts showing just how consistent your baby’s bedtime is (and when they wake up too)
More about your baby’s feeding habits, including how frequently they eat, breastfeeding duration, and how much milk (or formula) they are consuming
How do we generate the graphs and numbers that you see?
For all graphs, note that they include the last 7 days of data, not including today.
Total sleep is defined as the average total daily sleep duration
Bedtime is defined as the average time you’ve started tracking a sleep session either near your stated bedtime (per your routine) or 8pm (if you have no routine)
Wake-up consistency is defined as the average time you stopped tracking a sleep session before 8am
Total feedings is defined as the average number of feedings per day
If there are other insights, metrics, or graphs you’d like to see, please let us know - we are all ears (you can email us anytime at firstname.lastname@example.org).
